Passing of the Baton

Passing of the Baton

Prophetically I Believe it’s Time

Here we are in the year 2021 and prophetically I believe it’s time to take an observation on where we stand in technology. Especially what we are planning to leave the Next Generation by way of means of reaching the lost. Will we, by tradition,  leave them what we have and inherited? And do we realize what we have inherited by tradition will not be sufficient for their Ministry to flourish in years and decades to come? The world has surpassed the church in understanding how significant technology is and how it will play a role in years to come.

Be as ‘Wise as Serpents

It’s the season to be as ‘wise as serpents’. The enemy is busy building his kingdom by way of Technology and his main focus is to control the media. He sees the media as ‘land’. And, until we understand the importance of cyberspace and Technology, we lose ground every second, every minute, every hour, and every day, year by year. If you do your research on what the world owns in cyberspace for media purposes and what we as the body of Christ owns, you will see that we have never shown up to the race of buying. The race is for data storage, in other words, ‘data centers’. This is where the blog websites, files, and audio sermons are stored.

Leave a Legacy

Even the enemy realizes that he has to leave his technology, that being cyberspace, to the next evil generation to carry on. Both good and evil will pass the baton to the next in line. Will we find ourselves old and coming to a level of consciousness and realize there are no technology or data centers for the next generation? Maybe we will recall talks of such matters and never got involved. Maybe God gave you the vision to build it and you never got around to being obedient or faithful to the vision. Could it be you’re not the builder, but you have the ability to sow financially? Or, maybe God has given you His wisdom to play a role in other creative ways.

Timeout’ Scenario

Could you imagine if the gospel was put in a ‘timeout’ scenario? So many of us Christians already use social media to support our ministry, especially now with covid-19. Imagine getting up early in the morning and you have a powerful word from the Lord. You then try to login into your social media account and find out it has been either closed or on a ‘timeout’ because of what you said biblically. Building a strong following on social media platforms takes years of due diligence. I believe we get caught up on these powerful platforms because they offer all the bells and whistles. And most of all, it’s convenient. At any time a social media company can change its policies.

Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;

Social Media Companies

Social media companies do not build infrastructures for us to reach the Lost. They build these large infrastructures to make money. They just need you as another profile page and to count you as another number. Do you really think that your ministry is being thought of in the next Facebook meeting that their corporate will? Certainly not! This may sound hard to some but Jesus Christ said, “I tell you the truth.” There’s the will of God and there’s the will of the enemy. And the two are not the same.

Don’t Be Beguiled

These large infrastructures in social media have learned just how to ‘tweak’ in their giving of free apps just to keep you onboard their platforms. Woe Church, it’s a major trick! So many of us have been more faithful to Facebook than building an infrastructure for our own seeds’ ability to carry the Gospel. Out of all the years you’ve been with Facebook, imagine what you could have built 10 years ago, 7 years ago, 5 years ago, and so forth

Get an Understanding

We have to act now and get an understanding of what it takes to build our own infrastructure. One where we have control over our own destiny and where no man can turn us off. We have to think of our ‘seed’ and leave them with a worthy infrastructure that they too will carry the Gospel and their seed will do the same. We will have to invest very heavily for the Next Generation. And also realize that we are far behind schedule in our building.

Terms and Policy

I believe that the ‘rules of engagement’ by way of the internet will change with new laws as time goes forth. What you say today will not be able to be said in the future. Imagine how much greater the same hindrance will be to your seed or the Next Generation. My vision is to leave the next generation with an infrastructure where they can preach the pure word of God and do it without fear of being controlled. We must remember, as the elders, that the Baton is in our hand. And, it passed from us to the Next Generation, not from the generation to us. We hold the wisdom of God, we have the financing that God has blessed us with, and now it’s time to build the house.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
